用英语读后感篇1
every girl can be a princessa little princess is a touching novel written by frances hodgson burnett—a famous novelist and dramatist. it obviously contains lots of fancied plots, but the parts it talks about creating miracles, can really reach the bottom of my heart. the book can bring me into a world that is more than reality while reading it. the extraordinary story makes me ponder a lot and gives me a deep impression that every girl can be a princess.in my opinion, it is impossible for every rich girl to act like a well-behaved princess, but sara, the heroine of the novel, did it! she was an imaginative little girl who had such intelligent small face and such perfect manners.
sara was a very nice girl who had a gentle, appreciative ways of saying, such as “if you please” “thank you” which was very charming. so, not only her teachers and classmates liked her, but also her servants liked her. there was a time when sara became a poor and pitiful servant insulted by the snobbish headmaster of the school. in spite of this, she had never complained to anyone about the horrible suffering she had endured. sara was confident, brave, optimistic and kind-hearted just like before and she had never given up her enthusiasm of life. no matter when, sara acted like a princess, and on account of this, she had accomplished a great deal of miracles over and over again.
after reading this outstanding book, i was shocked by sara, a little girl who suffered such unimaginable pain and tortures, but still had an opposite attitude towards life. what impresses me most is that sara put on her act of being a princess when she wore thin bottom shoes, wading in the street of london. from my point of view, her spirit of being so strong-minded when she was in hard times is worth admiring.truly, every girl is a princess coming into common life. the “princess” i mean is not a princess living in the palace and being regarded as the apple of everyone’s eye. as the matter of fact, the “princess” is at heart. i am in the belief that every ordinary girl in the world can be a princess. the way for a girl to be a princess is quite simple.
just suppose! you can suppose yourself to be a princess, and go about your business confidently without caring how the others would treat you. if you want to have more resemblance to a princess, be more kind and try your best to help the people in need. the most important thing you are supposed to do is that to feel like a real princess at any occasion, particularly when you are involved with enormous melancholy. do not feel the conditions you faced are extremely wretched and attempt to get rid of the feeling of hopelessness and uneasiness. the less you look like a princess, the more you need to feel like a princess at heart.every girl can be a princess if she can do all i mentioned, no matter she is rich, beautiful or not. to speak truthfully, i cannot do as well as sara. however, i will exert myself on being a princess mentally.
do not feel depressed any more, to be a well-thought-of princess like sara. you can do it, because every girl can be a princess.
the "me" in the book is an underappreciated writer in london, who accidentally met a stockbroker at the age of 40, and suddenly listened to the call of the heart - be yourself! as a result, he abandoned everything, including his wife and two children, went to paris, almost died, and finally found inspiration in the south pacific island of tahiti after many hardships, devoted himself to painting, and became famous after death. as the narrator, "i" is also recalling the life experiences that "i" had with the famous artist paul gauguin after becoming the artist. "genius on the left, madman on the right", for once such a deviant charles. for strickland, there are many incomprehensible and even outrageous places in his life, but in terms of his contribution to society, he is indeed a great painter and artist. for example, "i" says in the opening introduction, when you discover that the outgoing prime minister turns out to be just a smooth talker, and the retired general is nothing but a weak man of the street. you can easily see that charles strickland is really great, and you can not like him as a person, but you have to recognize his art and his work, because it is hard not to be interested in them. he was thought-provoking, and he was also loved and hated, especially the instinct in him, though suppressed by the circumstances of his life, which grew tenaciously like a tumor swelling in living organs, and finally took control of his whole being, acting involuntarily, fascinated only by the moon in the sky and blind to the sixpence at his feet, his bigotry and coldness, and his attentiveness. however, "i" still hope that you do not judge him too much, so that you will not be judged, and do not use appearances as the basis for judgment.
as for the choice between the moon and sixpence? "i" is not conclusive, but says cautiously, "it depends on what you think the meaning of life is, what contribution you think you should make to society, or what you should expect of yourself."
用英语读后感篇3
‘we are equal!’ when these three words came out of the plain-looking girl’s mouth, the whole world was shocked.
we have good reason to be shocked——deprived of family happiness from an early age, with neither beauty nor wealth to speak of, jane eyre seems to be never destined to bee the heroine shining in the spotlight we often read about in romances——but is there really such a thing called destiny? at least jane doesn’t think so. she is not pretty; she is not rich; she is a mere ordinary governess, so what? as an individual human existence, she has dignity as well as anyone else, so she deserves the chance to love and to be loved as well as anyone else! despite her short, delicate body, her soul is not the least weaker than others’——even greater than most of them. the moment she said the three powerful words to mr. rochester proudly and steadily, her pale face must have been sparkling with sacredness, which would have made her the most beautiful woman ever, because the beauty of independence is eternal. with this spirit of independence she not only gained herself love, respect and happiness but also proved to the world that nobody is second class——unless you believe yourself to be.
hundreds of thousands of ordinary girls that usually get neglected in life——me included——love and admire jane deeply because she inspires and encourages us to strive for our life goals against all odds bravely. she is a role model, an idol in our hearts but at the same time a friend, a big sister next door who’s not at all cold and distant, always ready and willing to stand by our side whenever we are in trouble. every time when i feel inferior, puzzled and lose faith in myself and the strength to carry on the life path already chosen, jane, my dear friend’s determined face and forceful words on that serene summer night would emerge inside my mind, which never failed to relight my fire of passion. oh, how i long to be like her.
but it’s not that i totally believe in her life story, by which i mean i don’t think the story of hers can happen to anybody. to me, it’s somewhat like a fairy tale that begins with ‘long long ago’ and ends with ‘ever after’, in which the prince and princess, though having suffered much in the process of getting together, would always end up in a harmonious marriage and enjoy all the best life has to offer. being an obscure girl herself, the author charlotte bronte was so generous as to have provided our dear jane a mr. rochester who loves her just the way she is, appreciates her unique character and a kindhearted family (later proved to be her relatives) that took her in when she was helpless and offered her a job to support herself. in reality, not every jane eyre can meet the proper people at the right time, just as not every ugly duckling can turn into a graceful swan——it may depend on a matter of luck. if you are too obsessed with fairy tales, you are very likely to feel disappointed and deceived by the not-so-perfect everyday life. but what are fairy tales for? we love to read them and we tend to believe in them even though we know they are not real. sometimes we do need a little romantic daydream as seasonings in the routine of life, and we also need an ideal to believe in, a creed to live by, and a northern star to show us directions on the long journey.
that’s maybe what jane eyre is for——it gives numerous mon girls a possibility to look forward to, a life to reach for, and above all, a positive attitude to face all odds to encounter. perhaps we can’t all have her luck, but we can have her independence, confidence, persistence, the courage of standing up to fight for ourselves against those seemingly taller than us, and the faith that we can finally win because we are equal.
